How a Pen can dramatically change your LIFE

Three words, that will help you through A LOT. Something as simple as writing a note or typing a reminder in your phone will save you not only time, but make it easier to ask the right questions. When we take a look at our world of communication, we take notes all the time. The only difference is, we view it as something else. But what happens when we take those sticky notes, random pieces of paper with important information and toss them in the garbage? We forget that very information we were once able to recall.

So how exactly will this help you or your family get the ball rolling? Well, let me explain.

When we write things down or type a note in our phone, tablet, or computer, we’re subconsciously telling ourselves that this is important. Not only that, but we have the opportunity to organize our thoughts. This is so important because in the moment when we have finally gotten the appointment to meet with a teacher, therapist or medical provider, what usually happens? WE FORGET and draw a blank.

Let’s avoid this and start off right by organizing our thoughts and questions. It doesn’t have to be perfect or even grammatically correct for that matter. The key is to get it out of your mind, onto paper or the electronic device of your choice.

Start small by listing 3 areas of need or concern and then list 3 to 4 questions. Keep it simple and use this as a starting point. Try to avoid writing a laundry list, because then, you’ll be right back in the same place you were before. With a plethora of thoughts and no clear direction.

So, in short, write it down, stick to 3 or 4 questions and/or 3 or 4 areas of concern. Keep an open mind and know that I’m rooting for you!
